International flight to Germany tips?
May 12th
Question by regionxrodeoqueen: International flight to Germany tips? I will be traveling to Germany on December 28th on a one way flight into Frankfurt. I already have my passport and all of that stuff, but I was wondering if anyone had any actual tips about the flight itself. My friend who is a German native will be picking me up from the airport, and I know enough German to get me from the terminal to him.
A few particulars I was wondering: I am 19, and I know that the drinking age (for beer) is 16 in Germany (18 for hard liquor), More >

May 3rd
Question by The Mouse II: What are some tips you would give to someone who want to travel to India for the first time? My third question about travelling to India. OK – I have decided that the area I want to visit is Kerala. In Kerala, what would be the city where I would be arriving – having come from an international flight (or connection) Would that city be right on the sea? or at least be very accessible to coastal towns (within a day’s trip)? My main interest is to go wandering in a coastal area and take photos More >
First time traveling overseas, international?

Question by LeoBeau: First time traveling overseas, international? I will be visiting Tokyo, Japan for over a week this summer and would like to know any tips/advices for first time traveling overseas. Not much of sightseeing advice, but more like the legal stuff:
1.) I am not US citizen but legal resident. Besides my driver’s license and legal alien card, I would just need a passport? Where to get a passport and how long would it take?
2.) Is there such thing as a credit card I can use overseas? For instance, I would deposit $ 2,000 US dollars and it will More >
airline ZED fare for backup for international jumpseat?
Apr 29th
Question by : airline ZED fare for backup for international jumpseat? Hi, I work for a foreign carrier that has a jumpseat agreement with a certain US carrier, but the future of this agreement is uncertain. Because of this I will order a ZED and refund it if I don’t use it.
I’d like to travel to europe using jumpseat rider benefits, but I’d like to know if this zed can be used by any airline regardless of connecting points? How long is the ZED valid for? and what other tips do you have for me.
Thanks

Apr 22nd
Question by luvlahser: What to Pack for 5 month trip to Europe I am considering/in the planning stages of taking a trip through Europe during the 2009 year.
Rather than this being a hectic & rushed, short vacation, I am intending for this to be an extended leisurely trip (at least 4-5 months (if not longer) through Europe.
Because this is not only going to be my first “solo trip” without my parents & family (yes, I know, that’s embarrassing!!) but also my first time traveling internationally to a foreign country/countries, with the exception of going to India with my family, to visit More >

International Layovers?
Mar 19th
Question by Smiley: International Layovers? I’m scheduling my first international flight. I’m traveling from Delhi, India to Phuket, Thailand. I’d prefer a direct flight to Thailand, but it looks like my options are limited so I may have to go with a layover in another country, and it could even be overnight. How do international layovers work? Do I need any documentation other than my passport? Can I leave the airport to see the city or check into a hotel overnight? Any info or tips would be helpful. Thanks!

Question by : First time travelling, basic questions, in need of basic tips ? It’s an international travel, I’m not a U.S. citizen, nor do I reside in the U.S., which means I have to go through passport control, buy a Visa etc.
1) Where and at what point do you leave a big luggage so you could reclaim it later ? 2)Give me a linear map to what I’m supposed to do along the way. 3) I feel pressured, worried about getting lost, is there any justifiable reason to ?
Any additional information is appreciated, thanks a bunch !
