Question by Mm.: Italy as a travel destination in winter? Hello, I was planning to take advantage of discounted vacation offers this winter to go to Italy. However, due to the recent cold wave across Europe I am having second thoughts. Is it possible to visit Italy this holiday season and have a nice experience? It is my first planned vacation ever! Thanks! Thx for your great answers so far, I am willing to go to Rome and Venice (is a must), I am an architect.

(I have already been to Montreal.) Is this a good choice, or do you recommend elsewhere in Charlevoix? (I decided Gaspe was too much of a drive, though it looks lovely.)
