Can someone provide some travel tips for Nepal tour?

Question by div: Can someone provide some travel tips for Nepal tour? My parents are planning to go to Nepal in the first week of June. They will cross the border from Sunauli-Bhairwa.I have heard that there will be a cautic situation there and sometime it would take an entire day or more to cross the border. Is it true? They are not going with any tour or something but on their own. Any suggestions, comments?
Also, any tips regarding -
Places to see. Do’s & Don’s Trasportation Things to buy Places to stay etc while in Nepal would be helpful.

Apart from the Big Apple, we would like to visit other attractions in that region of the US. What do you recommend for a two week trip with kids? Is Niagara Falls too far away by car? I would prefer to fly from Baltimore and arrive in Warsaw. If it would be cheaper to fly from somewhere else within a few hours of Baltimore that could work.
